Somatics: Embodied Letting Go
*Ali Zuba

1:15 - 2:30 pm

Somatics teaches us to release muscle tension with ease. How often to we "let go" in life & then run the other direction?

In our yoga practice, sometimes we move too quickly to notice the transformation in the letting go process. In this class, we'll experience gentle movements with conscious repetition in order to find a softer & softer, release -- a letting go with integrity.

Thomas Hanna, founder of Somatics, said "Faced with muscles that simply won’t release, many yogis remain at a plateau of their ability, often for the rest of their lives.”   Find a new level of embodiment in letting go.

This class is appropriate for all levels; beginners will get a solid introduction to Somatics & the intersection of Classic Asana, & advanced yogis will explore a new depth of embodiment that perhaps they didn't know was possible.
